It used to be that men couldn’t wait till their facial hair started to come in. They were even more excited and proud to show off their new chest hair. In a way it proved to the other guys and girls that he had become a man and was now able to take on the world. However, times have changed and while young boys are still proud to have some body hair by the time they become an adult they feel the need to remove most of it.
It is not uncommon for men who have an overabundance of chest hair to want to remove it. By doing this they are helping to keep their skin clean from sweat and grime that sticks to the hair. They are also showing off the bodies that they have underneath all the hair. Removing chest hair should be done carefully because the first time is the hardest.
Shaving
The most affordable method to use is shaving. You want to use a razor that is going to be gentle on your skin – but tough enough to remove all of the hair. Trim the hair down using scissors and make sure to wet the area and apply a liberal amount of shaving cream. Slowly shave the hair off and apply a moisturizer when you are done. To prevent stubble you will have to shave every other day.
Waxing
This is the most popular method because it doesn’t take very long and you don’t have to do it as often. The only problem that men have with this is that it is quite painful. While you can do it yourself at home we don’t recommend it. Things can go wrong and you could end up by irritating your skin. Pay the $30 to $50 for a professional to remove the hair and give you a clean look.
Creams
You could always make it easier on yourself and use hair removal creams. After trimming your hair apply it liberally. Let it sit for a few minutes and then wipe it off along with the hair. Be careful when using these products as they are known to irritate people with sensitive skin.
