Cost Of Laser Body Hair Removal

When people are trying to find a way to reduce the amount of time that they spend in removing body hair on their legs, armpits, and other areas of their body the first thing they will consider is laser body hair removal. Although it might take several treatments for the hair to keep from growing back it is considered to be very successful.

The only thing that is holding many people back from getting it done is the amount of money they will spend on it. Every clinic or dermatologist will charge people differently. They will either do a flat fee, charge them by how long it takes, or charge them per pulse.

Charged For Flat Fee

In most cases the laser body hair removal is based upon a flat fee per treatment or for a package of multiple treatments. This could mean that in order to remove leg hair for women it will cost them $500 no matter how thick or how many sessions you may need. Others will determine the amount of hair growth you have and its patterns and charge a flat fee package based on this.

Charged By Time

There are some clinics which will charge their customers by a certain amount of time that they spend on each treatment. For example if they charge $100 every fifteen minutes for the removal treatment and it takes half an hour than you will pay $200. This time will vary depending on where you are having it removed, how fast the technician is, and the amount of hair that you have.

Charged Per Pulse

The last method that will determine the cost of laser body hair removal is based upon each pulse that is used to remove the hair. Every time the technician fires the laser is a ‘pulse’ and it usually takes one second to remove around one hundred hairs that may be as small as a penny or as large as a quarter.

Most clinics will charge a dollar a pulse with a set minimum fee in case they do not use much. Using this treatment on your armpits (a very small area) may cost $300 with a minimum charge of only $150. The more treatments you have the more common it is for the price to be lower because not as many pulses are being used. Each area will have various pulse prices to them. The larger areas may be $2 to $3 per pulse compared to the $1 for smaller areas.
