Facial Hair Removal

Facial hair- whether it be on a man or a woman – can be annoying or embarrassing. There are three methods that you are able to use when trying to remove it; shaving, waxing, and creams. Each one can be effective – but it is up to you to decide what works best for you. We have provided some helpful tips on how to do each of them.

Waxing

Waxing is the most common hair removal method that women use when trying to remove facial hair. These come in small wax strips that are placed along the eyebrow, chin, upper lip, or other areas. Place the strip down in the direction of the hair growth and lay it flat and smooth.

Immediately after it has been laid down peel it off in the opposite direction of the hair growth. After wards you will need to apply the special healing lotion that should have come with your wax. Each wax kit will cost between $5 to $10.

Creams

Hair removal creams seem to be the easiest and painless method to use. These contain certain ingredients that smell horrible but work to remove the hair quickly and painlessly. After applying it to the skin wait between five to eight minutes and wipe it off. Unfortunately I have discovered that not many of these will actually work for people. However, there are others that have had much success with it. Try to purchase one of these for $8 and try it out for yourself.

Shaving

Shaving is the longest method and often has to be done on a daily basis. First you will need to wash your face with hot water to open the pores and smooth down the hair.

Apply and spread the shaving cream around the face. This helps to prevent you from cutting your face up and from irritating it. Try to find the type that contains special moisturizers.

Use a sharp razor so that you are able to get the hair in one swift motion. Make sure that you shave in the direction of the hair. Start at the top of the face and move it down till you get past your chin.

When you have covered the whole face wash the extra cream off. Make sure that you have not missed any spots. Under the chin and the cheeks are the hardest to get to. Razors usually cost between $18 to $20. The more premium could cost as much as $50. The shaving cream costs no more then $8.
