Shaving Body Hair

Shaving is the most popular method of hair removal. It is easy to do and it is inexpensive when you compare it to the price you have to pay for a professional wax or electrolysis. The great thing about this method is that it works every time. The downside is that you have to do it every day or every other day to keep the hair at bay.

What You Need

There are only two things that you will need for this; shaving cream and a razor. It is possible to use an electric razor – but this is usually used by men only to remove facial hair. The bladed manual razors are more effective.

There are a number of different shaving creams to choose from. Try to get the one that will work with your skin type. It is not uncommon for people to choose the mousse cream that will help to keep the skin from drying out during the process. The cream is usually only $3.

When finding the right razors you have to be picky. If you have thick hair find something with three blades that will remove it the first time. It is not uncommon for women to use men’s razors because of how sharp they are. The razor will cost you between $10 to $20.

What To Do

During the process your skin has to be wet so that it does not become dried out. That is why many people will do it in the shower. Apply warm water to the area to saturate the skin. Now apply a liberal amount of shaving cream.

Run the razor against the hair growth. Make sure to work in small sections so that you do not miss any hair. After running it across the hair growth move it once more with the hair growth. This will help to keep the skin smooth. When you have finished dry the leg and apply lotion to the area.
